Hydraulic Self-close hinge has very strong body .The best material will be stainless steel SUS304. Why we need to take SS304? SS304 body has good fire rated features; its melting temperature is 1720℃. At the same time, is is anti-corrossion. However, SS304 body is too hard. it is not easy to produce it , For general material like aluminum, zinc alloy , it could be produced through die casting.

As SS304 is too hard, it could not be into die casting. The best way to use wax lost way to produce ss304body. This time, let’s introduce how SS304 body is produced through wax lost casting. Let’s introduce the Wax lost casting as following:

Lost-wax casting, also known as investment casting, is an ancient metal-casting method for creating objects from intricate wax models by melting out the wax to leave a mold for molten metal. The process involves creating a wax model, encasing it in ceramic or investment material to form a mold, heating the mold to melt the wax, pouring molten metal into the hollow mold, and then breaking the mold to reveal the final metal object. This versatile technique is used for producing jewelry, art, and precision metal parts in engineering.

The Lost-Wax Casting Process
Create the Wax Model: Begin by sculpting a model of the desired object in wax.
Invest the Wax Model: Encase the wax model in a thick shell of investment material, such as finely granulated ceramic or a similar mold mixture.
Melt the Wax: Heat the invested mold in a kiln, causing the wax model to melt and flow out of the mold, creating a hollow cavity in the shape of the object.
Pour Molten Metal: After the wax has been “lost,” the heated mold is filled with molten metal, such as bronze, gold, or silver.
Cool and Break the Mold: The molten metal cools and solidifies inside the mold. Once cooled, the ceramic investment mold is broken away to reveal the metal casting.
Finish the Object: The metal sculpture is then finished to remove any residual sprue and gate material, and may undergo patination to achieve a desired color and protective wax coating

Applications
Art:
Creating sculptures and intricate metal art pieces.
Jewelry:
